Health Contraindications

Please do your due diligence in ensuring that you are an appropriate candidate for services. It is your responsibility to ensure that you do not have any health-related contraindications that will disqualify you from services, and that you are going to be able to follow the pre-care and aftercare instructions.

Contraindications

If you have any of the following conditions you may not be a candidate for treatment, please consult with your doctor or dermatologist and obtain a doctor's clearance before moving forward. For any general questions feel free to text (850) 426-4156 or send an email to morbrowsstudio@gmail.com.

• Previous cosmetic tattoos must be approved
• Pregnant or Breastfeeding
• Under 18 years of age
• Chronically ill
• Allergies: To numbing agents (lidocaine, epinephrine, tetracaine), pigments, or makeup
• Cancer, chemotherapy, radiation within one year (consult your doctor)
• Have an autoimmune disorder or healing disorders (consult your doctor)
• Bleeding disorders
• Uncontrolled high blood pressure
• Diabetes (consult your doctor)
• Thyroid conditions (consult your doctor)
• Major heart conditions or pacemaker
• Noncompliant with aftercare instructions
• Currently taking painkillers, street narcotics, or on controlled substance during the service
• Suntanned or burnt skin
• Epilepsy
• Any active skin conditions or irritations- Acne on or near the brows, rosacea, eczema, psoriasis, rashes, dermatitis, wounds, etc.
• Viral infections or diseases (consult your doctor)
• Organ transplant (consult your doctor)
• Actively sick with cold, flu, or fever symptoms
• Trichotilloma diagnosis
• Accutane- must be off for 12 months
• History of Keloids
• Currently taking any medications that affect bruising, bleeding, or healing:
  • Antibiotics and Steroids (must be off of them for 2-4 weeks)
  • Blood thinners
  • Immune suppressants
• Very thin vascular skin or broken capillaries on or around the brow area
• History of hyperpigmentation (consult with doctor)
• Unable to lay on back and stay still for long periods of time

Book When Healed:

• Vaccinated or Boosted in the last 30 days- immune response may negatively effect healing process.
• Recent surgeries- You must be completely healed and off medications to ensure you are safe to proceed with permanent makeup.
• Spa | Dermatological procedures- Must be completely healed from any and all recent procedures done on the face, including but not limited to- chemical peels, PDO threads, PRF, laser treatments, waxing, micro-needling, etc.
• Botox near the brows or forehead- No botox at least 2 weeks prior and 4-6 weeks after healed.
• Fillers near the brows or forehead- Wait 4 weeks after fillers to schedule your appointment and 4 weeks after healed.
• Skincare- Exfoliating or brightening acids and anti aging products must be paused for 4 weeks prior to booking. This includes, but is not limited to, Retinol, Retin-A, Vitamin A, and Vitamin C, AHA, BHA, skin lightening or bleaching products, Salicylic and Glycolic acids.

Please note: Wound healing tends to be slower in Vegetarians and Vegans due to low levels of iron and B12, which are essential in producing collagen, a crucial component in wound healing. You may proceed with treatment at your discretion. 

Contraindications:

• Pregnant 
• Breastfeeding
• Under 18 years of age
• Stretch marks less than 3 months old
• Scars less than 1 year old
• Active skin diseases, irritations, infections
• Surgery within 4 weeks, or recovering from recent surgeries- wait until you are through with your pre and post-op, healed, and cleared to schedule an appointment. 
• Symptoms of cold, flu, etc.- book your appointment when recovered.
• Must be off antibiotics and steroids for 2 weeks
• Must be off Accutane for 12 months
• Cancer, chemotherapy, radiation within one year
• Autoimmune disorders
• Organ transplant 
• Anemia
• Hemophilia
• Healing disorders
• Diabetes
• Contagious infectious diseases
• History of Keloids
• Immunocompromised/  on immunosuppressants
• Under medical supervision or on heavy medications. If you're under medical supervision please obtain a written doctors's note proving you're allowed to move forward with treatment.
