PERMANENT MAKEUP BROWS

  • For upcoming events or travel, please schedule your appointment at least 3 weeks in advance to allow for proper healing.
  • Begin hydrating upon booking. Hydrated skin is happy skin and it will ensure your skin is prepped for the appointment.
  • Please avoid tweezing, threading, or waxing your brows before the appointment so the natural shape of the eyebrow can be assessed.
  • You will be more sensitive during your menstrual cycle and it's encouraged to not schedule your appointment during that time.
  • Feel free to bring your AirPods
  • Come in with your brow makeup on so I can see the everyday look you prefer.

4 Weeks Before

  • Discontinue use of ALL anti-aging ingredients from the eyes up. Use of these products can result in more redness, more bleeding, bruising, or increased sensitivity. Please check your products for the following: Retinol, Retinoid, Retin-A, Vitamin A, and Vitamin C, AHA, BHA, skin lightening or bleaching products, Salicylic and Glycolic acids
  • No fillers
  • No skin treatments: microneedling, peels, lasers, microdermabrasion, strong exfoliants, etc.

2 Weeks Before

  • No botox in the forehead and brow areas, and 4-6 weeks after
  • Must be off antibiotics and steroids

1 Week Before

  • Avoid tanning to assess your natural skin tone. Sunburnt skin will be rescheduled

3 Days Before

  • No blood thinners- medications, aspirin, advil, ibuprofen, fish oils, vitamin e, garlic, niacin, turmeric, ginger, cayenne pepper, etc.
  • Lightly exfoliate your brows
  • NO alcohol 72 hours before

1 Day Before and Day Of

  • No Caffeine (coffee, decaf, tea, and energy drinks/shots/gels). Stay hydrated.

Feeling nervous is normal! We'll work together to create your dream brows and the procedure wont move forward without your approval.

If proper after care is not followed the client can expect a less than desirable result with any permanent makeup technique.

Wash your hands before touching your brows.

Day of Procedure: Every 30 minutes for 2 hours after the appointment, dampen a cotton round with water, squeeze out the excess, and gently wipe the brows and dry with a clean paper towel or tissue. This will prevent scabbing from potential lymph buildup. Apply a thin, sheer breathable layer of healing balm. You may stop once the cotton round looks clean after wiping. Continue aftercare at bedtime.

Healing Balm- Apply a sheer, breathable layer—a rice grain amount should be sufficient for both. Your skin should feel hydrated while also being able to breathe. Use the spoolie to gently brush through your natural brow hairs, fluffing them up and lifting them off the skin to help the skin breathe.

Night 1 Before bed: Wet your brows with lukewarm water. Suds up a gentle cleanser between your fingertips and in gentle circles cleanse your brows, removing the healing balm from the day. Gently rinse and pat dry with a clean paper towel. Apply a thin, sheer breathable layer of aftercare balm, and you're ready for bed.

The Next Morning: Wet a cotton pad with water, squeeze out the excess, and gently wipe the brows in one direction from head to tail several times. No excessive rubbing! Gently pat dry your brows with a paper towel, and apply a sheer, breathable layer of healing balm. Do this routine for the remainder of healing.

For 10 Days: As you're going through healing follow the instructions below to protect your fresh permanent makeup and avoid infection.

  • No sweating- hot tub, sauna, hot bath/showers, steam rooms, summer heat, deep cleaning, gardening, exercising/training, anything that makes you sweat- it will fade your fresh permanent makeup.
  • Avoid sun exposure- wear a hat to protect from UV rays.
  • No swimming in any body of water- chlorine and salt water fade permanent makeup when fresh and not healed.
  • Small flecks of dry skin or light flaking may occur as the brows heal. This is normal part of the healing- absolutely no picking to avoid pigment removal and scarring!
  • No makeup or sunscreen on the brows until after 2 weeks
  • Avoid touching, picking, applying products on the brows to avoid infection and compromised results
  • Only use the balm provided in the aftercare kit during this phase
  • Do your best to sleep on your back
  • No face scrubs or chemical peels at least 4 weeks.
  • No anti-aging creams can be used near the brows after treatment. Use of Retinol/Retin-A/Alpha-Hydroxy/Glycolic acids can result in lightening and color shifting of pigment. Applying from the eyes down is safe. Applying above the eyes leave a one inch border around the brows so the product doesn’t affect the permanent makeup. Using such exfoliants/ anti-aging creams can cause undesired healed results.

After two weeks, it is safe to apply light makeup and sunscreen. To maintain your brows long term, incorporate daily sunscreen application into your skincare routine. A broad-spectrum SPF 50, such as a sunscreen stick that leaves no white cast, is recommended.

INKLESS STRETCH MARK REVISION + SCAR LIGHTENING

If a temporary pause is not possible continue taking it as prescribed.

Please text your weekly progress photos to me (850) 426-4156 so I can assist you on your healing process.

Slight burning and itching in the early days is normal. Do not scratch the area. When the edema is gone, redness may last up to 20-40 days. After redness subsides the stretch marks will appear darker than the surrounding natural skin tone. The final result may occur between 60-90 days, we will asses the need of another session after 60 days. In some cases it can take longer to heal; healing can extend up to 120 days if needed.

Clients that are very prone to hyperpigmentation, extremely fair skinned clients (Fitz Patrick 1), slower healing clients, and clients over the age of 50 healing may take upwards of 120 days.

Vegans and vegetarians may experience longer healing, over 120 days.

Care Instructions:

  • Please wait at least 3 hours to shower after the appointment.
  • Use an antiseptic soap to clean the area before applying ointment. Avoid rubbing or manipulating the skin or using any scented, acidic, or exfoliating body washes and soaps- this will prevent contact dermatitis or allergies.
  • For 14 days shower twice a day, morning and night, gently dry the area with a fresh clean towel or paper towels, and apply ointment covering the whole area, going slightly past the treated area.
  • Please wear loose clothing for at least 10 days post to avoid friction and irritation.
  • In the first 7-14 days, there might be a thin scab or flaking, do not remove the scab at all times. Allow it to fall on it's own- it's function is to protect against skin infections. Removing it prematurely will negatively effect the healed result.
  • Do not scratch the treated area(s). It's normal to want to scratch, DO NOT! Instead of scratching give light pats, it relieves without impairing healing (you can use a baby wipe to help). However, if the itching is very strong, ideally seek a medical attention because it may be an indication of an allergic reaction or irritation.

WEEK 1

NO swimming or soaking- ocean, pools, bathtub, hot tub, etc.

NO saunas or steam rooms

NO sweating- no exercise or working out, avoid spicy foods

For 10 days- Wear loose clothing on the treatment area to avoid friction and irritation. NO tight-fitting clothing.

FOR THE DURATION OF HEALING 60-90 days, up to 120 days

  • NO sun exposure for the entire healing process on the treated area- sun exposure is safe as long as the treated area is fully shielded from the sun.
  • No picking or scratching the area

SCAR LIGHTENING CLIENTS ONLY

You must text a progress photo at 4 weeks post procedure for evaluation. If approved the second step in healing and aftercare with be communicated.

SALINE TATTOO LIGHTENING

  • 4 weeks before- Avoid facials, chemical peels, or microdermabrasion.
  • 2 weeks before and after treatment- No Botox or Fillers in the brow area.
  • 2 weeks before- Protect your skin from UV rays. Sunburnt skin will not be serviced and you booking fee will be forfeited.
  • 72 hours before- No blood thinners such as ibuprofen, aspirin, Advil, niacin, vitamin E, fish oils, etc. unless medically necessary.
  • 24 hours before- No alcohol or caffeine (coffee, decaf, teas, and energy drinks).
  • No working out on the day of your appointment.
  • Avoid booking on your menstrual cycle as this may increase pain.
  • The procedure area must be free of all irritations including ingrown hairs, rashes, blemishes, eczema, and psoriasis.

Washing instructions will be explained at the appointment.

  • Keep your brows DRY. Don't let the brows soak in water, stay wet for more than a few minutes, and don’t allow the scabs to get soft and fall/wipe off.
  • No bathing, swimming, saunas, hot tubs, tanning, or exercise.
  • Withhold from any activities that would cause sweating until the scabs  have completely fallen off naturally. No exceptions.
  • DO NOT disrupt the scabbing process (no picking, scratching, etc).

Initial Healing- 7-10 days (dependent on scabbing, no sweating etc). 8 weeks in between sessions, no exceptions.

All scabbing needs to fall off naturally. If you force or pick a scab off you will disrupt the process and possibly cause scarring.

It is critical to keep the scabs on as long as possible to achieve optimum results.

Scabbing starts around day 4, and fall off on their own around day 7.

Time frame can could be shorter or longer, skin responds differently in every individual. If the brows feel dry and flaky after day 7 please keep the area dry until it naturally stops.

  • Once all scabbing has naturally fallen off apply one drop of vitamin E oil 3 times a day for a minimum of 4 weeks, or until the next lightening session. DO NOT start applying the vitamin E oil until all scabbing has naturally and completely fallen off.
