I love the look of a softer healed natural-looking brow that ages gracefully; I utilize techniques that allow for a softer finish, like a borderless ombre and microfeathering.
My pressure leans more on the lighter side and use mineral pigments that are created to fade out of the skin gradually overtime to ensure the client and myself have more freedom to change the color or shape, as trends and preferences change over time. They can last 12-24 months. Depending on the client's goals, skin type, and the service, hybrid pigments are used as well. Hybrid pigments have better hold and can last over 3 years. Regular use of sunscreen on the brows and sun protection like a hat is highly encouraged.
Previous PMU or work done by other artists/ studios must be faded at least 70% to be accepted.
I don't offer color corrections as they have proven to be ineffective long term. Previous PMU is accepted on a case by case basis and will require a consultation. A consultation is important because in many cases laser or saline lightening is necessary before adding new pigment to oversaturated brows.
Skin can only hold a certain amount of pigment before they start looking "muddy" or unnatural, and will actually cause more problems for your skin and your wallet.
No guarantees can or will be made and additional sessions may be required to obtain optimal results. Additional charges will apply.
No! Clients who are very sensitive or are near or on their menstrual cycle can request pre-numb to be applied after mapping. My clients who have not been pre-numbed always say it's not painful at all! A strong and fast acting secondary numbing is used after the initial pass and for the remainder of the appointment. Please be assured you wont feel any discomfort. After application most of my clients fall asleep because they feel relaxed and barely feel anything at all. Returning clients who haven't used pre-numb initially don't request it at the second appointment.
Please note: You may experience hypersensitivity or pain before or during your menstrual cycle.
PMU can last from 12-24 months to 3 years before getting touched up. Oily skin types might require more frequent touch ups. To keep the skin as healthy as possible returning client's brows should be at least 70% faded in order to be considered for a color boost.
Different factors affect the longevity of the pigment that are outside of the artist's control:
Returning clients are asked to email photos of their brows without makeup, in good lighting, clear and focused to be evaluated for a color boost. Please email the photos to morbrowsstudio@gmail.com.
Not completely! So don't ditch your brow products just yet! PMU is not meant to be a complete substitute for makeup- IT'S LOW maintenance NOT NO maintenance. There will be times, as your brows gradually fade, that you will touch up certain areas with make up, or apply a bolder brow for a night out. When you wash your makeup off you will still have fuller brows that passes the natural vibe check, and that's my goal.
As an artist I love the natural, "no makeup" makeup look, and strive to naturally enhance the client's features. There are services that exist that will provide a heavier make up finish, that's something I don't quite offer. That's why it's so important to research your area or artists and go with someone whose work you align with the most.
